Vegetable Garden in for Winter 2012

Just replanted my vegetable garden 2012 - little bit late this year.
Still its a great feeling to get it planted. Can't wait for the first crop in a month. Still quite hot yet so hopefully winter will kick in soon for the vegetables to grow well. Yes where I live we grow vegetables in the winter NOT the summer.
The smell of the dirt and manure is such an organic beautiful smell.

ART ME - Bring it on!!!

Not much art today :(  -  Just doing rotten Government Tax reporting .
Don't they know I have another life - called Art
On a positive! It all balanced - YEAH!!!

Me Lovem This Land  - Lots!

Acrylic and Ink.  I love working with Ink and charcoal -
My works tend to mostly be telling a story of some sort or aiming to project my feelings .
I tend to like darker strong colours.

Music Sticks

Sterling Silver - Etched - Formed copper and 9ct gold.
This is one of my favourite pieces I have made.
I could have sold it many times but I am quite emotionally attached to it!
I love etching but I never really got into it as I just didn't like the risk of working with Nitric Acid - pretty scary stuff in my opinion. I was inspired to make this piece after a trip around Alice Springs  many years ago. It is kind of a remembrance piece reflecting culture, land and hostile beauty.
To Do List:
I must polish it up and wear it again.

Slowly Getting Back Into It!

She Always Hoped.

After quite a break from doing art work - I am slowly getting back into it all.
This is journal page of an idea about always hoping - but hope never came.
Materials used ink - printing ink - acrylic and mixed media - collage photo etc.

Jump For Joy!! Its the start of a NEW working week

Jump For Joy!!

Its the start of  another fantastic week.
I wonder what  lies ahead?

Some of my nonsense - this really did happen. This Duck come from nowhere in the middle of a very hot summer and it wandered in,  I gave it a drink of water and some bread. Then it wandered back out of my yard again and I never saw it again. This is the actual duck - and it makes me smile.
