Out Back Dunny Toilet Paper Holder.

Outback Loo Toilet Paper Holder

I came across this very  natty idea for OUTBACK , THUNDER BOX, LONG DROP Toilets  to stop the toilet paper from blowing away and unrolling. It was  in the middle of no where between Mitchell to Barcaldine Qld Australia.  The really nice thing was they were really clean and NOT SMELLY at all.
Simple but pretty darn smart I think!!!

Counter decorated in WINE cartons - This is really cool!

How Clever and Effective a shop counter decorated with Wine Carton  Strips

I came across this wonderful counter on my travels around the Eastern Coast of Queensland. My sister in law and I stopped for breakfast at this really quaint cafe - good food as well - and  I noticed that they had Jazzed up what was an old counter with wine cartons all cut into varying size strips. It looked amazing.

People are so creative it amazes me everyday.

Cute Art Idea

Cute in Tambo Qld -  Australia.

I have been traveling around and keep coming across really great ideas by people so I thought I would photograph them and add to my blog.
Here are some tables a person has painted they really brighten up the the lovely little cafe / gas  / fuel stop.
I really liked the rooster best , not shown as a man interrupted my documenting this cute little idea  by sitting at the  table with his food  before i finished photographing!  -  Obviously he thought his eating was more important than my photographing - lol

How to make a Paint Brush out of your teenager!!!!

  1. Step one find a willing long haired teenager - preferably your own
  2. Tell him its  going to be a BUZZ CUT !!!-  this is far more convincing,  impressive and trendier use of  word than the old 'Crew Cut'.
  3. Tie the hair as shown
  4. Cut off  the bound hair with hair clippers
  5. Number 4 all over
  6. VOILA - Hair Brushes ready to be bound to a painting stick  and shaped.

Vegetable Garden in for Winter 2012

Just replanted my vegetable garden 2012 - little bit late this year.
Still its a great feeling to get it planted. Can't wait for the first crop in a month. Still quite hot yet so hopefully winter will kick in soon for the vegetables to grow well. Yes where I live we grow vegetables in the winter NOT the summer.
The smell of the dirt and manure is such an organic beautiful smell.

ART ME - Bring it on!!!

Not much art today :(  -  Just doing rotten Government Tax reporting .
Don't they know I have another life - called Art
On a positive! It all balanced - YEAH!!!

Me Lovem This Land  - Lots!

Acrylic and Ink.  I love working with Ink and charcoal -
My works tend to mostly be telling a story of some sort or aiming to project my feelings .
I tend to like darker strong colours.

Music Sticks

Sterling Silver - Etched - Formed copper and 9ct gold.
This is one of my favourite pieces I have made.
I could have sold it many times but I am quite emotionally attached to it!
I love etching but I never really got into it as I just didn't like the risk of working with Nitric Acid - pretty scary stuff in my opinion. I was inspired to make this piece after a trip around Alice Springs  many years ago. It is kind of a remembrance piece reflecting culture, land and hostile beauty.
To Do List:
I must polish it up and wear it again.

Slowly Getting Back Into It!

She Always Hoped.

After quite a break from doing art work - I am slowly getting back into it all.
This is journal page of an idea about always hoping - but hope never came.
Materials used ink - printing ink - acrylic and mixed media - collage photo etc.

Jump For Joy!! Its the start of a NEW working week

Jump For Joy!!

Its the start of  another fantastic week.
I wonder what  lies ahead?

Some of my nonsense - this really did happen. This Duck come from nowhere in the middle of a very hot summer and it wandered in,  I gave it a drink of water and some bread. Then it wandered back out of my yard again and I never saw it again. This is the actual duck - and it makes me smile.
